Today I was playing my Mahogany Hardtail Strat, which is armed with a Lil' 59, a Ducky and a Hotrail in the bridge. These were bought prior to the redesign.

As I'm playing, I think 'Where did my E string go?' The first time I heard of this, I thought, 'what kind of a bonehead get his string caught under the lip of his pups?' I may have even said it out loud.

Well know I now what kind of bonehead does this, because I found my high E string hooked under the lip of my Duckbuster; not sure how it got there.

So now I think I like the new Rails. Not that I've actually used one yet, but I plan on it. I'm considering another Strat with a pair of '59s and a Coolrail in the bridge.

Never happened to me and I've been using the Rails pickups for 10 years. I'm not saying it's not possible, just that I've never experienced it.

What kind of a bonehead get his string caught under the lip of his pups?

I've personally never had it happen to me, and I have from what what I'd call a light attack.

My friend Benny catches the string on his pickups on purpose for this one song we wrote...it almost sounds like the guitar's goin quot;OHHHH NOOOOOOOquot; hahahaha it's reallly hard to explain but it's sickk

It wasn't so much a problem on the Hot/Cool/Vintage Rails pickups as it was on the JB Jr., Little '59, Duckbuckers, etc. that had that little plastic topper.

It's happened to me once or twice and I have the older designed Little 59. Not sure exactly how it happened.

The redesign was a good call. The new shell even looks better IMO.

Can someone show me some before and after shots (pre-redesign and redesigned)? I've heard a lot about how they've really changed but I don't really notice anything.
