hi dudes...how are you doing?

i´m buying a used triaxis/2:50 for the next christmas holydays... i´ve made a deal with my local shop, so i take this combo (and a 2x12 rectifier cab) for my dual recto 4x12 cab and pay a little more...that way i can have the equipment on home to start a studio/teacher project

but theres one thing i have no idea...the midi/footcontroller for this thing... a friend of mine told me about a couple midi controllers for having a total control about the dozens of options, channels etc etc i can use with the triaxis... so, if you know of an quot;economicalquot; midi or just a good one...or just a mesa footcontroller with just a rhythm-lead1-lead2-eq will do the job?...well as i said i have no idea at all of this midi sh... :P so any help will be very usefull...thanks a lot guys...see ya

the rocktron midi mate foot controller is simple and effective and reliable .. i have had one for over 10 years and like it very much ... i am pretty sure that robert_s uses one with his mesa rack

the behringer midi footcontroller is much more comprehensive if you intend to control many things at one time ...

good luck

The Mesa Abacus would be the first choice, although it's very expensive. The Behringer seems to be the best for the cheapest.

Wiring a midi rig with another midi FX unit isn't too difficult, but it takes time. Just buy a couple midi cables so you can connect the footcontroller - Triaxis - FX unit. Assign your channels to midi channels. The only problem you might encounter is that some midi units start with 0, and some start with 1.
If that's the case, you'll have to know that the Triaxis will always be 1 number lower, when mapping everything together. Once you read the manual, it'll all become simpler.

yeah i´ve heard about the behringer... do you mean this one?
the abacus is just too much for me...

about the fx unit...i´ll be using a couple pedals along with the triaxis...just a stereo chorus and a stereo delay for the fx loop...btw the expression pedals can be used like a wah or they are just volume\gain controllers?

thanks for the replies

If you have a MIDI controlled wah processor, then yes, the expression pedals can be used for a wah.
