The Invader is the highest output passive pickup of SD concerning mVolts and not DC resistance. It is also the bassier of those with much mids and more uppermids. It's treble is less but far enough to make an amp scream. The Distortion is more treblier with nice uppermids not as much as the Invaders but lots. The Dime is like the Distortion in output and treble but without those ''layered'' mids

What Sozos said but, the Dime has an obsene amout of gain. I cant even get it to clean up with the volume.

The Invader is the loudest, rudest, most in-your-face pickup I've ever tried. The low end is legendary -- played through a bass amp it would knock down a wall.

The Dime is no where near as hot as the invader. The invader does good lead work
and has vocal wah-ish thing going on. The dime is more articulate. The invader sustains longer. The dime has tighter bass. I like the clean tone on the dime, which suprised me. Both are good, I'd say put an invader an a thinner sounding guitar and a dime in a fatter sounding guitar. Those two are the only SD pickups I own and they both rock.

well... Which oneS Have LESS mids? dimebucker or Invader?

Dimebucker has less mids, not scooped but neutral I guess is the right word.

Hummmmm as i expected...
And... comparing Duncan Custom and Dimebucker, which ones has LESS Mids?

the dimebucker probably has good mids (never tried one), but just not the unreasonable mids of the invader. makes the invader sound grainy a lotta the time IMO

what about dc x db mids? which one has less mids?

I'm pretty sure the Custom has more mids, than the Dime.

Upper mids? I had two Invaders in an old Jackson Kelly... those things had much more lower mids and bass than upper mids and treble.
