After a long wait i finally ordered my first Warmoth bass. I got it about a month ago but my stupidity gene kicked in and i forgot to order a pickup for it. After some trouble with the swedish dealer i got the pickup last week. I took some pictures of it today, it looks just gorgeous. I'm a happy owner of this one of a kind bass. :hyper:

I found the body in the quot;Showcasequot; and the bridge came with it.

The info:

Body wood: Swamp Ash
Colour: Butterscoth blonde
Neck wood: Maple, Vintage tint gloss finish
Fingerboard wood: Maple
Pickup: SD QP
Ernie Ball Flats 50-105 (Best flats i have ever tried!)

I'm very happy of owning this bass. This is THE bass for me. I thank Warmoth for building my dream bass, if there's any interest of putting a picture of it in the Warmoth Gallery, PM me!

Wow that's freaking gorgeous man! How much did the total project cost you, if you dont mind sharing? I'm thinking of building a Jazzmaster and/or custom frankenstrat, and I was wondering what the total cost might be?

Wow, she's a beauty! Enjoy it .

Cool! did you get them to do the decal on the headstock, or did you have to do that yourself... I've always wondered about that.

I don't think they'll apply decals, or even sell them for that matter.

EDIT: I didn't even look to see it was a Warmoth decal until after I posted, I assumed it was a Fender logo

man that is one hell of a sweet bass!!!

Thanks everybody for your comments!

The project costed me around $1250, i bought alot of the small parts here in sweden, which i regret now, i should have bought that also from Warmoth, so in other words i could had got the bass a bit cheaper.

That thing is gorgeous. I kinda want to ... kiss it.

I really like the touch of the Warmoth decal. I'd rather not see a Fender decal on a non-Fender, and I hate blank headstocks. Excellent taste!!!

Looks like you got a beauty of a bass! What is the make of the bridge?
I've actually been thinking of putting another custom bass together,
and will probably get parts from Warmoth.

Great_Kazoo:
It's a Gotoh String thru bridge called 206...i think
Check their website!

Awsome bass..and no they give you 2 stickers with your neck when you buy one..One is the Warmoth text logo..the other one is a turtle playing guitar logo. you can chose to put them on if you want..

that is an Awesome looking bass man!!!

I LOVE IT!!!

That looks great. Are you happy with the result?
I've been tempted to put together a tele of some sort. Always wondered about the cost of shipping to Scandinavia, too.

It's a dream come true

I was surpriced on the shipping cost, i've read on their website that it will cost $70 something for a body and neck to ship to sweden, when i got the confirmation letter of my bought it said $128, i was shocked and was very tempted to e-mail them, but i didn't. But i understand the high price know, they ship the body small parts in one package and the neck in another

I think they could have said that in their e-mail

Hello Thurisarz! Beautiful bass! By the way, i understand you live in sweden, and i was just wondering if you had to pay alot of extra tax and import duties on the parts, or did you get them for the same price as on the warmoth website?

Thanks in advance,
-Erlend

IIRC it was something like $279 in taxes, i didn't expect it to be that expensive. Well, for my next project i'm prepared for this
