A homage to the best humbucker pickup in the world:

Click on quot;Start Trackquot; Ok, ok, ok...they're not for Metal, but for everything else....wow!

Here's the backing if anyone wants to have a take:

Wow man, that is one of your best IMO!

Great melody, but it sounds like you've got a nice set of shred chops too

The mix sounded just right to me and that pickup sounds damn nice

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it.

I've just included the backing track in the first thread. Enjoy!

Nice track brother....I Liked your lead tone alot, clear, smooth, and articulate..Your tune and whole vibe reminds me of something Steely Dan would do...Bluesy and jazzy together....Nice job!

Very nice!...... killer tone, killer chops...

Smoking simply smoking Marin.
Have heard it quite a few times by now, even downloaded to your very own file full of Marin stuff
Loved the whole deal about it.

Top-class stuff! Great mix between fusion and blues!

Great track! Some really inspiring licks and musical ideas in there! Gotta love Seths too.
It's funny that Robben Ford uses 59's, yet everytime I hear Seths, I hear the Ford tone.

I think this may have been my favorite tune of yours.

Jeff, Rid, StrangeSound: thanks a lot.

Gearjoneser:

thanks for the Robben connotation but he's a hard one to catch up with! By the way: Robben used to use 59/JB and the he switched to PG/59b and now he's onto Gibson Burstbuckers in his Les Paul. It has to be said that he sets his amps with a lot of midrange and he tames the brightness of an A5 pickup by muting the string in a robben-like fashion and the he quot;lets them goquot; when needed. On the other hand, I learned to play using crappy amps so I really had to dig in to the string with the pick to get some dynamics. Hence, I'm ok with A2 pickups which tame my natural quot;brightnessquot;.

I'll gladly take a swing at it if you don't mind; I really like this; Midnight is a killer track; thanks for letting us suck on this! heh just playing...
No seriously...
I'm not worthy!
I'm not worthy!

thanks guitartesta. I am looking forward to your take!

Love the clip-as I've said before, your style is great, very original. My favorite quality about this clip is the delay/echo you have going on esp around second 43 in the clip.

Man, that lead tone is killer! Now I know what pickups I want for my Artcore when it arrives! Great playing too!

ARE YOU SURE IT ISN´T FOR METAL? ahahahah if it has ANY similarity with Custom Custom, and has a Tightier Bass the the Custom custom, it will surely do Metal.
Q

As Dave says, quot;My favorite quality about this clip is the delay/echo you have going on.quot;

What are you using for that? Heck, what's the whole rig you're playing through?

Great chops...Very Steely Dan.

- Keith

Great tone... It's been a long time since then last I came up here. Things haven't change so much .

damn man, that's smooth!

I'll definately do a take once I get my stupid recording **** working again

Hey thanks. The delay settings remain the same throughtout the song. what changes at second 43 is that I switch from the neck position to the middle one.
