I decided tonight to put the original white pickgaurd back on my B Bender Tele. I removed the middle and neck pickup covers a while back. I think it looks pretty cool with the black on white as opposed to the black on black. What do you think?
I personally like the black on black look...with the white pearloid it loses the smokey look.
It says quot;attached imagesquot; but there's no link to click on.
Ok, nevermind... works now. I like both, but might suggest you try white pup covers with the black guard.
I like pearloid, but on that guitar, the black just quot;fitsquot; better.
Yea, i liek the black on black much more on that guitar, looks really cool.
I think plain white would look good but I don't like MOTS at all.
I like the black better.
I also have a tobacco burst tele with black pickguard and no finish on it.
i HATE pickguards with a passion
The BLack is better. It gives the guitar a cool vintage look.
Black....no competition!
id definately say the perloid... though id be the only one
IMO the black is way too much
Black! I like it better... I don't like pearloid pickguards. Black give the guitar a simpler, stronger effect, if this make sense...
Normally I'm with Pandemodium-I HATE MOTS,but it flows really nicely between the chrome and the neck, makes the frets really stand out.But it doesn't bury the body.Gives the guitar a much 'cleaner' look.
Looks like most people like the black. I guess something new after having the black pickgaurd for so long was pretty cool to me. Thanks for your input.
BTW what does MOTS stand for Pandemonium?
I don't like the perloid... that stuff belongs with italian glamrock.

Considering the fact that I'm allergic at the look of pearloid pickguards, black would be the way to go for me.
I'd also say the black one looks better. Just a bit.
pearloid looks good on guitars with lighter colours. for yours, blacks the one.
