anyone heard the pink floyd song quot;sheepquot; of the animals album?
if not i shal discribe in my opinion the best effect ever!!!!
the voice holds a note and it slowly fades into a guitar playing the same note, as the guitar is soaked in effects it sounds a tad on the COOL side.
anyhoo, im wanting the following pedal:
guitar in jack vocal in jack
true bypass on both so when pedal is off both signals are clear
a rocker that controlls two effects simultaniously
1 when depressed the pedal will gradualy increase the quot;effectquot; on the voice (the effect is all the effects that apply to the guitar at that time, im not shure how to work this but im open to surgestions)
2 when pedal is untouched, and the effect is off, both signals come through clean. when the pedal is quot;onquot; (think crybaby on off stwich) the guitar is silent and as the pedal is depressed (and the efect on the voice increases) the voice is faded out and the guitar is faded in
this way i would hope to recreate this effect in a live situation.
what dya think???????
also, is there anyone here who could help me to build such a thing?
iv never built a pedal before a nd could realy use some help!.....
thanks very much
guy
how about a computer? i think you could do that with a computer. but i tink what ur talking about should be easy, actually. i have some ideas in my head, but you'd better leave it up to the others.
i like ideas! fire away
this is s simple idea. take a wah or volume pedal. make a new hole for another input, replace the volume or tone pot with this attach each of the inputs and voila! im not so good with electronics, so i dont know how well this will work, but its a start i guess.
wait a second doesnt the ernie ball volume/ pan pedal also accommodate for 2 inputs to 1 output (exactly what you want)?
not exactly what i want, as i want to build in some kind of efects loop for the input from the microphone.
but thanks for that link
didnt know of that there gizmo.
nice!
