Hails Guys
i´m thinking about having Less drills and cavities aspossibles in my future AXE project ... so
i wanted tohave : 2 humbuckers(neck/bridge). No 3 way switch.. and Only 1 volume pot Only
Now HERE´S my doubt.
Is that possible to have a Potenciometer that will do the following for me :
one pot like a concentric pot that will give me these options. open and close the volumeon the neck, neck/bridge, bridge . switch between the neck, neck/bridge, bridge positions?!?!!?in resume.. a single potentiometer that will work as a 3 way switch and as a generalvolume pot? Is there such a thing in the market? if not.. can i order one ? who shall i call todo one for me:? will it be expensive? howmuch?
****ing hails and thank´sin advance
SORRY for the translation

I would think that it would be possible somehow....but i have no idea who would be able to do it.....good idea though

You can use a push/pull put to switch between neck and bridge, which I would do as I never use the middle position; but I don't believe they make a 3 way push/push/pull pot.

Yah
some kind of 3 WAY pushpushpull pot .
i´m asking a3way because i use the middle position for leads and for someclean stuff..

What about a coencentric push/pull, wired so the push pull switched between the two, the upper control would do volume, and the lower could blend the two pickups together?

YEAH, could be wired that way?
elaborate it moretome.. i didn´tunderstand it very well.
Q
I have a concentricpot.

I don't know that it would work for sure, but IF it could, you could set it so that:

The inner knob controls volume, the outer knob blends the two pickups together, and the push/pull switches pickups.

I kinda hope this would work, as it sounds kind of neat...

AHAHAHAHAA yah
I´M ASKING THAT for my CUSTOMguitar
i´ll ask to have The minimum drills possible
i want a solid construction(nech thru allmahogany with an ebony
fingerboard or rosewood)
i´ll put 2 Custom made tom y expecs bare knuckles.
neckand bridge.
no 3way switch, only the volume pot(the onei´mtrying to have a 3way wiring) etc

I think this is a bit ambitious. I don't know anyone who makes these components in the combination you require.

I think the closest you can come to this is to have a single dual gang pot wired to act as a balance pot between the two pickups. Like this -
Wait... How about the bridge pickup ALWAYS wired in through the volume, and the push pull on the pot switches between what would normally be position 2 and 3? Probably not possible, but if so, it'd seem like the logical way...

Probably not possible, but if so, it'd seem like the logical way...This gives me an idea...You would wire it up so the bridge pickup was always on and at full volume, have the neck pickup wired up to the volume, and have the pot pulled up disconnecting the bridge pickup.

So to have full bridge pickup, you'd have the knob pushed down, and rolled down. For full neck pickup, you'd have the knob pulled up and rolled up. For both, you'd have it pushed down and rolled up. For neither, youd have the knob pulled up and rolled back.

ahahahaha very strange
theenglish on these sentences are ****ing hardfor me todiggest
i need to re-read it WITHOUT the ammountof sleep i´mfeeling rightnow
ahahahahahah
thanks unholy CREW

Yah
SO, is that possible to have my guitar Drilled for the concentric pot ONLY(no 3 way toggle or switch) and the output jack only?
also.. is that possible to have my concentric pot wired upto give me 2 pickups at the same time in one position, just the neck in another one, and just the bridge in another one? and also have control of the volume control, without havingit turned on all the time?

Hooka

What!?!?!?

No. You'd have to have one of them on the whole time, or not be able to have them both on at the same time. When do you really use the middle position (both at the same time)?? I never use it, can't stand the sound.

hUMM FOR CLEAN, and for sweeps
HAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHA

There's usually more than one way of doing things and that's as good as any. Originally Posted by WITH FULL DISTORTIONahahahaha very strange

I'll attempt to learn portuguese for the next time I post hereHahahahaah Ok

No one makes a concentric push/pull that I know of. It#8217;d be a pot with 12 contacts. I#8217;d wonder if a pot that big would even be able to fit inside a cavity.

Without a switch, there are a couple of ways you could wire it#8230; the easiest being each ring controls volume for a pickup. That would allow you to blend the two pickups together in any way you wanted to (from 100% of each to 100% bridge and no neck to no bridge and 100% neck, and everything in between). Downfall is that there is no switch, so to change from all bridge to all neck you#8217;d have to turn one ring to #8220;0#8221; and the other to #8220;10.#8221; Not the easiest way to switch between them, but it is a killer blending setup. I can appreciate cleanliness, but really, is a toggle switch really that ugly?
