I plug in my strat into my deville and when I shake the chord at the near the input jack of the strat I hear that quot;crashquot; type noise that comes out..

should i use contact cleaner and spray the input.. the washer on the inside of the jack doesnt seem to loose so thats why im thinking something might be dirty inside the jack..

ill try using another guitar on the amp and see if its amp too

thanks

Did you try a different cord yet? Doesn't hurt to use contact cleaner it on your guitar and amp inputs.

Sounds more like a bad / loose connection at the guitar jack or cord plug.
If the problem is due to a dirty connection, plugging and unplugging the cable a few times should take care of it.

That's a common problem with jacks mounted onto a PC board. The problem is that when the cord gets yanked too hard, it puts tiny cracks in the solder connections, which causes them to crackle and pop. If you take the chassis out of the amp, go to the solder points which connect the input jack to the PC board, and re-melt them all with a soldering iron. I guarantee your problem will be solved. Everytime I've seen that problem, THAT was the solution, even if your eye can't see the little cracks....just hit them all with the iron.
