Anyone? Please tell me your thoughts!
I've only played one Rainsong guitar, but I liked it. The carbon fiber(?) body and neck are a great idea. The neck doesn't require a truss rod because it's not going to move. The only down side I saw to the guitar, was it lacked a little bit of the bottom end warmth you get from a wooden guitar. The upside is the top isn't going to sink, and raise from humidity, or time. Humidity levels won't effect the neck either.

Yes, played 3-4 of 'em at Mandolin Brothers, including the 12 string.
Personally, I think they're fantastic!!
Played a few at various trade shows and dealers.... suffice to say I´m seriously considering one myself
ive played a few and while the tone is not the same as a well made wooden guitar, they play and sound great

Which quot;well maidequot; ones specifically, jeremy? I have a $4k Tippen OMT guitar, and I think that the Rainsong is comparable at 1/2 the price. The Tippin is warmer, but that's due to the Brazilian rosewood neck. The Rainsong has wonderful sustain, very balanced response, and great attack; it also lacks the muddiness of many so-called high end acoustic guitars. (*coughTaylorcough*) Granted, a 1960s era Martin will sound better, at roughly 3-4x the price, or even a Collings (which I think are fantastic guitars) at roughly double the price ... but both of those examples are far beyond 'well made' and into the realm of truly boutique.
I loved the dew i tried. I ended up with an Adamas, which has a top of carbon fiber, simply because i didnt have the $ for the reainsong- but i'd buy it in a heartbeat- one of the best sounding acoustics i have played.
any thougts on Rainsong's jazz box?
I got to play steve millers rainsong cutaway, a friend of a friend is well friends with him and i got to play his guitar, it was so loud. It was really tight sounding and pretty bright, i personally like adamas guitars more but it was still a great guitar.
I played in a band with a guy for awhile who had one. It played well, but I wasn't super into the tone. Kinda bright and lacked warmth. Newer ones may be better and he may not have had the best choice of strings or whatever. They are cool, though!

Sounds very very cool. Can someone make detailed comparisons between the Rainsong and the Adamas acoustics for me?
You know what my mate said to me today... quot;Wow, a graphite guitar - that's pretty cool... but there's one problem with that. Graphite is carcinogenic!quot;
Hee hee hee.
Tell your mate the guitar isn´t intended for internal use, but maybe they ought to add a warning sticker to make sure people don´t do it anyway
