I'm trying not to impulse buy online. I would be playing it through a tube amp. Is this like a pedal which is cool through an amp, or a preamp like a Zoom or Pod which is a no no through an amp.

Thanks in advance.

Digitech makes the best Wah, as far as i know.

but lately all thies signature effects have been **** piles.

Really? At HC everyone says it's great but nobody really tells what they use it through. Have you actually heard the pedal or have you heard that this particular pedal blows.

No, i havent played it, im just saying quot;Be awarequot; because alot of thies signature effects that are comming out arent great.Im sure the pedal is great, i just dont see how you can make that many versions of a Wah tho lol. Theres atleast 30 different dimebag wah's.

I know. I've got a Vox wah from the sixties and it's great, but I like the idea of the effects, some distortions etc... Looks like a dream come true. Don't want it to be a $200 nightmare lol!!!

I've got the Holy Grail reverb unit and it sounds just fine but I'd like some delays and some other distortions to go with the tube screamer and custom made Bassman. SRV amp; Hendrix!

I never claimed to be original lol.

Also, today I just got my Fulltone '69 fuzz face, and if your looking for a hendrix fuzz/distortion, nothing beats this pedal, im sure some others would agree with me. Im not too impressed with alot of Digi Techs pedals, so id try it out before hand if possiblle...

I havent tried any of the Digitech signature pedals, but its supposed to be really quite suprising how good they sound. But I can tell you even without playing one that they would be much better direct than through an amp... its more for recording or for making yourself feel cool while playing in your bedroom because you kinda sound like Hendrix, or Clapton or whatever.... which is cool.

bump

I heard that the Crossraods Clapton signature thing kinda sucks. You can plug a strat in and still get the early sounds (where he played 'buckers). That's quite less interacting. So you'll get the sound - but it'll be just one sound - no life...

the hendrix wah is not only a wah, it also has other quot;signature soundsquot; aboard. The sounds were sampled right off the original recordings tracks so you're pretty close to quot;originalquot; - the recorded - hendrix sounds. I think I'd plug into a poweramp - if it's sampled from a record the sounds just has to be made louder...

Bump...just looking for someone who has actually heard or used this pedal. Haven't had a chance to visit the local stores yet.
