Can you run the '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue through a cabinet instead of the built in speaker? I was thinking about the Vox 2x12 with the Celestion Blues. If I can't do that, I was going to put in a Greenback.

no expert by any means but you should be able to as long as the ohms match, there should be a 1/4 inch jack that the speaker in the combo is plugged into now, just plug the speaker cable into that...

Very easily done. I run my DRRI into a seperate 1x12 cabinet as the main. Like Aaron said, just be sure the ohmage of the cabinet matches up to the 8 ohm main speaker output on your DRRI.

I'm sure everyone knows this already, but just in case. Don't swap the speakers over while the amp is turned on, you'll fry the transformer. Also, I don't know if the Deluxe Reverb has an extention speaker output as well as the internal speaker output, but if it has you must always have something plugged into the internal speaker output. Atleast you do my amps so I guess it's probably the same.

I learnt this the hard way. Expensive? Yeah!
