I'm getting a carvin 7 string pretty soon, should be done on may 5th, And i already got a Custom/59 hybrid for the bridge position, but am at a bit of a loss for what to do with the neck and middle pickups (HSH style guitar).

I'm interested in doing a jazz/59' hybrid in the neck position, has anybody tried this out? what did you think of it? I'm looking for somthing with a little bit more drive and midrange than the jazz, but somthing that still retains its clarity.

As for the middle pickup, I've gone through the site and I havent been able to find a single coil 7 string SD pickup. Just as a confirmation, does seymour duncan not make a production 7 string single coil, or will i have to go ahead and get one custom made?

What about a Jazz BRDIGE Model at the neck position? I'm loooking for the same and maybe i'll try it.
