Hello, this is my first ever post and I have a question. I have aquired an old strat with a in the bridge. the pickup is a single coil space with two rails. The rails are split silver, and white. is written on the face side which is white. The wires are white, red, and plain silver. I have searched the site and cant find this pickup. I realize cosmetics can change, however, the wiring is what really throws me off. Is it a hot, vintage, cool rail ???
Also, can it be split coil? How? I notice all modern S.D. rail pickups are four conducter
Thanks
Stratoj
VIntage rails by exclusion... all others have 4 conductor wiring... the White/ silver split rails are the other giveaway
Old vintage rails duckbuckers cannot be split, they´re wired internally in parallel....new ones are IIRC also 4-cond.
Thanks man, that also explains why this thing is not so hot. I appreciate the quick reply
