I'm having trouble identifying a pickup i found. It's a a red and black humbucker, rated about 6.0k. It's 4 conductor, and it has 11 pole pieces on each coil. It's also worht mentioning that it dosn't have cloth covering the wire wrap of it. I got it for free in a deal I made, but i have been unsucessfull in identifying it. It looks fairly old, 80's or early 90's. If anyone has any information, please share

No clue, maybe someone else would know. Could you post a picture?
BTW, welcome to the forum!!!!

Are you sure its not 12 pole pieces - as in one of the Parallel Axis series?

The only pups I'm aware of the have 11 poles per coil are Carvin pups ...

I just added the pics i took from my webcam. Let's see if that helps

That looks to me like a carvin. I had a set like that but it was black. Not a duncan.

Snowdog

Ah, I just checked their website, and yea it definetly foes look like one of their pickups. I thought it was an SD beacuse it came in an SD box and the bottom of the pickup has quot;SDquot; written on it in black marker. Thanks for the help. You wouldn't happen to knwo what model would you?
