I've seen guitars with those before...and wood pickguards...and pup selector rings. I don't know why but they never did anything for me. I think I need visual contrast on a guitar. Those usually blend in with a top.

I think those Koa rings would look f'ing awesome on my Heritage
Besides, I need new rings there anyway to get the pickups parallel to the strings. Right now, the front edge of each pup is way farther from the strings than the back (bridge) edge when looking from the side. That can't be ideal for tone.

The pickguard on that LP is so awesome
Damn, how come the stuff that I've been doing for years is being done for so much more money that what I ask for, and of lesser quality. I just wish that I had the tools again so that I can make the stuff again. Pickguards, truss rod covers, knobs, pickup rings, pickup selector rings, back plates, and alot of other stuff. Man, I wish I had my tools.
