Geez ... you're making me want an Explorer. Enough already!
btw how does that compare to a gibby explorer?
wow, that site/shop has cool stuff...i wish these weren't sold b/c i'd buy one of them....
not a real gibson but oh so sweet looking!!! what a killer top!never saw a hum single with a floyd V before...pretty cool...
oh and sorry for taking over the thread but they jsut had cool stuff lol.
-Mike
The first one must be the Hulk's wet dream.
That V is sick...but the green finish on that explorer on the top is exquisite, just plain awesome.

Thanks alot guys....LOL.
I'm still doing the Tele first.
To JeffB: I love the axe! I'd prefer to have it in blueburst though. Adrian had an Explorer in that kind of colour.

That may have been his Lado guitar...it's more of a greyish color...very cool though..I saw him play with that bad-boy
The boomerangs MAKE the green one for me...Blue and Green are my fave colors..I've never had a green guitar before..plenty of blue ones tho...
A fellow over on the Hamer FC forum posted that pic..apparently he is a dealer. Y'all should see the other ones he posted!
As for comparison to a Gibby, Pac...couldn't tell ya (but will tomorrow ) I've yet to even handle one (american made that is, I've handled the imports..meh)...by nature of Hamer's rep, I'm sure it's built much better than current Gibsons with better wood and finish detail. The Hamers have binding, traps, duncans, maple tops, etc. Remains to be seen whether it plays better or sounds better than your run of the mill Explorer, but I suspect it will. Current Explorers are $1K mass poduction guitars...the Hamers cost twice as much and up and receive alot more attention per instrument. I have had some really nice production instruments lately ..def far better instruments than my playing ability (or lack thereof rather) merits having...but I really, really wanted something quot;betterquot;...more hand finishing...more attention to detail...Better quality woods/components, etc. I still wanted quot; The Gibson Soundquot; and specifications/appointments without paying 3K plus for a custom shop Gibson. I'm not a fan of quot;copies/clonesquot; in general based on my experience with Les Paul quot;wannabesquot;, but these Hamer Standards have been calling out my name in my dreams
BCR Music is actually about 15 minutes from me. Greg has been my tech of preference for years now. He has some crazy guitars and does stellar work. Nice guy too. If you guys are looking for Hamers, that's the guy to look up.

Now you mention it, I bet it was the Lado. Dave, Steve and Adrian were using Lados back then. It was the mid-late 80s I think. Dave had an ESP Strat copy too.
No forgetting Adrian's white Jackson Strat with the black scratchplate!
One more time just in case Jeff and Mike didn't catch it the first time.
One for Jeff...
