I'm thinking about putting one there. I heard it once in a Strat (alder) and even though it was disguised by a Boss GT6, it still sounded amazing. It had a really sweet clean tone, very clear and articulate. But mostly I play blues on there (on a single coil more than a humbucker) and I don't know if it'd work out well.
How about one in the middle as well? I wanted a coolrails there first but eh, maybe swap them around?
ive played them in a few charvel san dimas guitars and they have a great tone with good clarity and bite with a tight bottom and thick enough mids to be full without being too overly round
Would they be too humbucker like? I prefer Single coils. I would split it I think but mostly if it sounds clean/bright enough when non tapped, it's always better!
Would it complement a hot or a coolrails better?
Basically it's either coolrails/hotrails/hot/LilSD for middle and neck position, and a Distorsion trembucker in the bridge. The guitar is basswood, it has a 6db midbooster... I mostly play clean and blues on the neck but when I start more often I'll most likely play somewhere else than the bridge as I do now.
It's quite an weird question I imagin but I cannot try any of these pickups really especially since I don't really use the middle pickup as of now. Those single coils are pretty good though so I probably will keep the middle one stock for a bit until I experiment with it, and the lilSD on the neck with the Distorsion. But still, any advise is welcome on those 4 pickups I mentioned for the neck.
