Went from this:
to THIS:
I like the HH setup a lot better. The tone knob is a push-pull to split the coils... basically a copt of the JS1000 setup.

The only further change I'd like is an actual 3-way toggle from a SUB or an Axis because those are smaller, don't stick out as much, and do not present as big a target to bump into. Anyone know where one can be bought?

Anyways... whaddya think?

that.
bloddy.
rules.3-way toggle gt; 5 way switch, ANY day of the week

Chrome controls gt; white/cream plastic plastic controls, ANY day of the week

That's awesome mang, I approve.

Looks great! I was wondering when you were going to change it (I knew you loved your H-H Floyd Strat),

Looks great. Really quot;cleaned upquot; nice. For some reason, the HSH setup looked quot;busyquot;. Did you make that pickguard? If so, nice job on that.

Artie

Nice. I like the choice in knobs especially.

Those chrome knobs made all the difference in the world. That thing looks great.

very very nice!!!

That looks like a good change! You might want to try having the switch going either more paralell or perpendicular to the strings, rather than on an angle that's identical to the arc of your arm swing.

i did a similar thing on my Silo Special- changed it to an HH, with a 5-way- I got the wiring diagram from their Axis Super Sport- positions 2 amp; 4 use the inside and outside coils respectively. You might ask on the EB/MM forum for the 3 way you are looking for- they have helped me in locating a new pickguard. They also supplied me with that funky plug connector which allows me to change wired up pickguards easily...every guitar should have one!

very nice, dude! I really like the silo's

I always liked HH better than HSH....first off, I NEVER used the middle pup..secondly, I found that sometimes it just gets in the way....and it definetly looks cooler..

nice job =)

A million times better. Nice one.

lol I concur with that statement, especially the 'mang' part

Dude, thats a nice guitar. I'd love a guitar like that. With some pushpots that would make that guitar kick some serious ass.

Definitely a change for the better.

Actually I called up Chandler and they made it to order for me. Great company!Originally Posted by The Golden Boy

It doesn't get in the way TOO much now, but thats the only angle I could fit it in at due to the body wood being in the way. Once I get the smaller MM switch then that'll be taken care of.Thanks for all the compliments!

Oh okay, whoops. Didnt notice that. Thanks.
Seriously though. really nice job on that! What pickups do you have on that?
The ernie balls or something different?

Originally there was a PAF Pro neck, a Blue Velvet single, and an Air Norton in the bridge(!). My fave Dimarzios are Evolutions so I put in an Evo neck model and an Evo 2 bridge.

The Evo 2 just came out not too long ago. It's like the original Evolution but not quite as hot with more harmonic complexity. It's a tad smoother too. It certainly fixed my two minor complaints about the old Evo bridge . I love it! The Evo necks are AMAZING. They're like Jazz's but hotter, fatter, and smoother.

nice! i really liek the dual humbuckers over that crazy config you had before. Say b2d how does the silouette play? I was jonesing for one a long time back because it wa sso small and im not a very big guy either (standing at a wopping 5 6'). Ive heard they are very tough instruments and of veyr high quality..and super light!

The Silhouette plays like a strat but due to the 1 5/8ths nut width, SLIGHTLY slimmer neck and the streamlined body it feels like a very high-performace instrument yet does not feel light or feathery like some other streamlined guitars do. The neck is NOT like an Ibanez or a Jackson at all. It reminds me very much of a vintage strat.

I haven't had mine for too long (only a few months) but I do know guys who have put theirs through hell and back without a problem, and as far as the build quality it's Custom-Shop level on every guitar they have. They weigh about average for what you'd expect, maybe a little less.

AWESOME guitar. I'm hooked.
