I just finished putting the 59's in my strat! Man, it sounds killer. I had to do some major wood work but it's definitely worth it. Notice that I took the tone controls out. I prefer going straight to the amp! And I put a Gibson type 3-way switch in it. Much better quality. I was skeptical about the red pick guard, but that's all I could find besides black. But I think it looks great!
Here are some links to before and after.

That looks great . . . worthy of a better pic.
The quot;beforequot; pic wasn't too shabby either. I have a pair of 59's in my Predator too. (Strat-ish style.) Its a great combo. Enjoy.
The more I play it, the more amazed I am at the tones! I'll try to get a better pic tomorrow outside. And thanks, Dude.
Very slick, the after looks 'finished'.The before shot looked like it needed something.
Congrats on the completed project, man!
Too bad it's tortoise shell
I'll be an a$$. I like the before more. But I don't like strats really, not Fenders anyway. So take that with a grain of salt. hope you enjoy tho, thats all that counts.
I could have had a pick guard custom made, but i am too impatient!
God, this thing sounds good!!!! Clean wonderful. Super high gain, orgasmic!! It really sounds that good!!!!
Well that's just great. It's always nice to love something you've just finished. Any clips?
sounds like love?!?!?
CONGRATS!!!
I hear you about being impatient. When I got my Predator I figured I'd take 4 or 5 months to finish it. Do it up really nice. I finished in just under a month, and that's because it took the pickguard an extra week to come in!
I like yours. I think it's a definite improvement over original. I'm glad it sounds good, too. That's the main thing.
