Hails Guys
i´m willing to buy an IBANEZ GUITAR, but i can´t decide which one
a guy here told me that the TRUE made in japan Ibanez are from RG570 forward.
The other models are not Made In Japan? there are some people here in brazil saying that even the rg 270 are made in japan, not them all, but a lot.
can you all Clear this from me please?
He is trying to sell me an RG470 japan. with a good Price.
but i want to GATHER more info on ibanez guitars ,RG model specifically, and it´s quality.

J.P
I own an Ibanez RG7421 Japanese made 7-string
I was told if if the frist number is 4 it was made in japan
In my case the first number is 7 only because it's a seven string.
JB_From_Hell definetly prefers the Japanese Made Ibanez's, so I'm sure he will chime in.
Rock On
My jem has quot;Made In Japanquot; on the back of the headstock, ive heard that only prestige type guitars get made in japan, i dunno how true that is
Huuuuuum, OK guys
PLEASE, MORE FEEDBACK
THANK´S AGAIN IN ADVANCE

I had an rg470L (approx '96 model) and pulled the neck off and constructed a new body (after about 7yrs use stock) as I found it sounded a little thin for my liking, however a pickup replacement may help this.... the body is still lying around unused at home.... the trem plate has worn a little where it meets the posts... I like the neck on this guitar... not posting from home so I'll have to have a look whether it was made in japan...
I was always under the impression that the RG5 series and up were Japanese made.
On the quot;Squot; series the S3 and up were made in Japan.
Keep in mind this is based on what we get in America. Ibanez may do things differently for other countries.
The only way to tell is looking at the back of the headstock, and it'll say made in Japan/Korea.
If I was the one that told you 570 amp; up is Japanese, I was wrong. I've seen Japanese amp; Korean 470s.
i guess BIU told me that
by virtue of its serial number, which starts with 'F', it's a Jap model. however, it sports the dreaded TRS vibrato, which i would avoid totally...

OK, it has the TRS Floyd Rose?!!? if i changed it to OFR or Gotoh or Schaller? will it turn to a good Guitar? And the neck of a RG470 LTD. is a lot thin? or a little rounded on the back of the neck!?
here´s some pics of It
many people prefer the necks on the 400 series, it's a Wizard II with a more rounded, thicker profile than the Wizard found on the 500 series. Just swap out the TRS for an original Floyd and you'll be set
dude, that guitar is beautiful. ibanez needs to put pickguards on more guitars.
Holy CRAP, i Loose that blue Ibanez
DAMN
