im looking to pick up a peavey classic 30 and im wondering if anyone can help me modify the footswitch to better suit my needsi love the tone of the amp but i have/had gripes about the shared eq. given i set the eq flat....is it possible to take a basic A/B pedal, lengthen the wires that connect to the switch itself, and run the wires into the C30 footswitch and mount the A/B switch literally just millimeters away from the channel select switch on the C30 footswitch so i could step on them both at the same time? if youve seen the C30s footswitch you know its got plenty of room and could easily accomodate the additional switch...basically i would like somebody to tell me if its doable or not.
also, i noticed that there is a boost function on the amp which is not footswitchable. is it possible to modify the amp to make it so? any help would be greatly appreciated
I too thought that boost should be on the pedal... Why they didn't include it i have no idea.... For a long time i thought i had the wrong footswitch with the amp..... I also own the Classic 50 version and it does not have a boost at all.
As far as the mods you are talking about i'd go and have a person to person talk with the best local tech you can find.... In the end you may just want to save this amp to the side and buy another one that suits you better. But keep the Classic 30.... it's a nice amp!
