Hi all,
Just joined the forum and a novice to the guitar so all help would be appreciated.
I bought a new Jay Turser JT300 strat copy at Christmas.
Noticed recently that on the bass strings there is a lot of vibration when sruck.
The string seems quite far away from the fret.
Can anyone advise the best solution?
Many thanks
Antony
1) welcome to the forum
2) lowering te action might do good
3) maybe post this topic on another forum to get more response!
Good luck
Strat type of guitar can have problems sometimes with magnetic field of the pickups. If the magnets are too close to the strings they can pull them an make them to vibrated in akward paterns. This is specialy anoying on the bass strings. Try to lower the pickups and see if the vibration disapears.
Anyway, What exactly to you mean vibration? Is it like the string it's vibrating too much or that you hear an anoying vibration when struck?.
how is the vibration bad?
thats a good thing
more sustain that way

Not if it's vibrating to the point that it rattles on uneven frets!
Listen to rocker and Breogan, Antony. First try the pickup height, then mess around with the action a little more.
You should check everything from truss rod to pickups... Here are some pages about that:
