Cost: $30
I was using a Maxon 808, but I wanted to get a backup pedal, so I picked up a used Digitech Screamin' Blues. (If I don’t want to haul my Tonelab, I usually just use a couple of pedals into my Boogie). Turns out I'm likin' it more than the 808. The Blues has a bass tone knob in addition to the treble knob, so it preserves/boosts the bottom more that the 808. I used it at practice last night, I'm thinkin' I like it more than the Maxon.
Apparently the Screamin' blues is NOT digital, but an analog pedal, tho I haven’t seen a schematic of it yet. I also like how the new battery access works; the old Digitech amp; DOD pedals had those crappy plastic battery doors.
Anybody else using this pedal?
cool review - glad you found something you are diggin'
will have to check it out next time i'm in the music store ...
cheers

i have the Digitech Bad Monkey which is a lower gain model in the same line and love it enuff that i sold my modded TS-9....same responsive tone controls and better sounding at low gain settings than the TS-9...
the BM now is backup to my Fulldrive...
well since you like it more, I'll buy your Maxon off of you for the price you paid for the digitech ok so it was a long shot, but it had to be said

Good try, but 2 of my kids play guitar, so I'm sure it will see SOME use .;-)
