ok, i was down in this new lil music store and i walk in and see some off brands and a few fenders i thought ok, just a local lesson store... then i saw this jackson... it was 299, transparent red (more maroon), floyd rose, good shape, kelly style performer... i played it for about an hour and it plays pretty well, outta tune and the actions a little high... so.. how do you adjust the action on a FR guitar?.
ill post pics later... and btw final price was 260!!!
Action = the little allen screws on either end of the bridge, where the knife edges are resting on.
thank you very much kind sir, ill get around to the pics, beautiful guitar
Wow... I'm surprised a lt;$300 Jackson plays as well as you say it does. And with a trem no less... I'm guessing a Jackson Floyd knock-off
its a licensed floyd
hmm the action doesnt seem to have chaanged.... umm i i turned the allen things as far as theyd go and it didnt seem to change at all.... still sorta high... i thik im messin up somewhere
yeah id like to change the action on my carvin as well... where are these alien screws?
at the front of the bridge in the corners.........i think......... cuz thats the ones ive been adjusting lol
Check the neck for proper relief. If you have that bridge dropped all the way and the strings are still a good distance off the fretboard, that is a good sign that the neck has a little too much forward bow and is in need of a truss rod adjustment.
