It's claimed many a guitarist....don't let it happen to you....
Alex Lifeson Disease
Pretty funny.....but they need to update that; he plays that new Hamp;K Triamp Sig. model, but the music is still in the quot;Big Pussquot; category!!!
I'm a big Rush fan, but their last handful have been blah!!!
LOL!
Where on earth did that come from? This quote is interesting too... it was so unexpected!
quot;If you see Rush live doing old material, he can still cut ripping solos on stuff like Freewill. He just chooses not to play that way on new music. He's a big p*ssy. My prescribed treatment for ALD sufferers is call them a bunch of denigrating names like quot;big p*ssyquot; in hopes that they'd snap out of it someday. Unfortunately no one has yet.quot;

I see you are pretty young lad....so I suggest this as an explanation
Find a recording of quot;Working Manquot; by Rush. Listen to it, and LEARN.
Find a recording of quot;Subdivisionsquot; by Rush. Listen to it...
you'll understand....*note* I actually liked Signals...but as said in the article...he just...I don't know...lost *it* or purposefully chose to ignore *it*
dude, i just got off of a long night of work
( i work graveyard)
and that was a serious effin pick-me-up...
:-D!!!!
I'm pretty sure Alex Lifeson suffers from carpal tunnel, And that's why his chops have gone south on him. Still no excuss to play a GK S.S. combo?
But cut the guy some slack. He still has a amazing body of work from the Mid 70's to early 80's.

Oh absolutely...it's all in good fun AFAIC.
I say him for the signals tour. The man RIPPED!! He tore it up on both the old and new. He has always been one of my favs.
i actually like the guitar playing in subdivisions....

Yep, me too. However, I saw them on the Subdivisions tour. It was a very boring show. The sound was great. The playing was great. But, they were all so tied down to the instruments they were playing. Geedy Lee played keys almost exclusively. Alex played the Taurus pedals so there would be bass. Neil seemed very constained. They did all this under 1982 technology. On the Different Stages tour, they were able to better take advantage of technology and put on a show that was more fun.

Ever play one of those lunchboxes? I gigged with one for years and still find its tone to be surprisingly good. Even today it's my backup amp.

I have to agree. Might I also add quot;Bastille Dayquot;, quot;Anthemquot; and quot;Lakeside Parkquot;.

Yes... I have. If my mermory serve's me correct? They where the curious Lil'
boxes that hit the guitars stores around 1985. I remember it being very crisp
sounding, And I think it had some onboard FX like chorus. I don't think they sold very well? And to the best of my knowledge GK dosen't make guitar amps anymore ? But I'm no one to talk... That day in 85' I got a peavey
backstage plus.
Reminds me of the Carvin endorsees you see in their monthly flier. haha
the intro to working man is awsome.... but the tiny balls things would explain why the vocalists voice is so high and annoying
Sometimes I wonder if I have Alex Lifeson Disease.

Yeah he's still playing the same marshall stacks he's been playing since '82 and says no other companies coupld pay him enough to play anything else... BUT when I saw this thread I thought of these adds from 1987 and 1991 respectivly, sort of like he got the desease, but we all know Malmsteen still has huge balls!
Rock On!
