Hey everyone,
Im unfortunently have never played a FD2, but am curious about it. My main beef with tubescreamer-ish pedals is that the bass is cut as the mids are boosted and will you get that cool, vocal sweetness, i always really miss the low-end and feel that with the bass cut the pedal isnt as full sounding as id like. Does the fulltone have the bass cut of TS style pedals? In standard mode how much of a mid-boost does it have and how much does the sound vary from and old TS?
Thanks,
Max
actually fulldrives tend to sound REALLY fat amp; warm
they're similar to the original ibanez design but they put a different input cap and a couple of other changes to the circuit that makes it a little more warm than the tube screamer... it still cuts a little too much bass for me so when i built my screamer clone i added a fatter input cap to make it a little more rounder... i like it alot... but if the TS series is pretty close to your sound then the FD2 might be what you're looking for... i've always like the banzai fireball a little better...
