Hey guys. I know Albert Collins played a Telecaster, hence the Master of the Telecaster. But what kind of amp did he play through. I assume it's either a Fender or maybe a Marshall. Anyone have any idea? My gut says Fender Bassman for some reason.

I believe that he played through a Fender Quad Reverb. It was a 70's amp and were extremely loud. I think I read about his rig in Guitar Player Mag about 20 years ago but I'm pretty sure thats what he played through......Joe

Thanks for the info.

Yep, Quad Reverb with an extremely long cord (100 ft), which probably tamed the highs a bit.

JBL 12's too. Open F#m tuning.
