****ing Hails GUYS
Holy ****.
I´M PRETTY confused right now about installing my EMGS
i couldn´t do it myself today.. and went to 3 guys to ask them to install it to me.
the last guy told me, that, it´s REQUIRED 2 batteries for a H-H , 1 vol , 1 tone Configurated Guitar.
and that i´ll NOT have the pot with teh capacitor. i´ll Loose that pot. and i´ll have 1 independent Volume control.
1 for the neck , and 1 for the bridge.
Is That Real?
he also said that if i used just 1 Battery , i´LL Loose performance and the SYstem will not work 100%.
can anyone clear this to me please? i´m getting annoying and psycho with that
can´t i JUST have my WITH FULL DISTORTION Emgs installed and rocking ?!
DAMNNNot true. You only need one battery for the system to work right.
I don't know a lot about EMG but if memory serves one battery should power all the pickups and anything else like the mid booster etc. The more you are running the shorter the battery will last but we are talking about 4 months instead of 5, not the system works versus the system doesn't.
Yeah, the whole system runs on 9V but adding other things only uses more of the battery's mAh.
have you checked the EMG website for a schematic? Basically what your going to have to do is install one battery, one tone pot, one volume pot, and change your input jack.

He told me this.
but, he told me that , THE Regular instalation of 2 Humbuckers, i´ll LOOSE the tone control, because the system doesn´t support it, SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
i didn´t agree with that. but i didn´t say nothing. i just asked quot; are you sure?quot;
And then.. he said that, if i was running a JUST THE BRIDGE pickup, so i will be able to have the TONE, vol working ok, and just one battery.
Don´t knów and i DON´T have ANYONE to install it to me
I have those pickups for 3 years now. TODAY i unpacked them and tried to install them
I´m very disappointed with this.
Q:/~
Yah vinterland, i already checked it.
one 3 way switch, one vol, one tone, and the stereo jack. But... what about the OTHER pickup?!
where do i solder it etc?
The guy told me that teh system doesn´t support 1 tone and 1 vol for 2 pickups.
I have just one tone and one volume and I am mixing actives and passives and it works. You shouldn't need more than one tone pot.
He doesn't know what he's talking about, you can pretty much do anything with them. I'll find the correct schematic and post it in a bit...

ok...what type of guitar and what switch are you using? 3 way blade switch (ibanez style or strat style) or 3 way toggle like a les paul?
i have an ibanez RG with an emg 81/85 set (3 way blade switch) in it and i can take pics of the quot;gutsquot; for you if that will help.

Try one of these (depending on your switch):
2 EMGs, 1V, 1T, Blade: from : localhost/web.archive.org/web/200304270...G1V1TBlade.pdf
2 EMGs, 1V, 1T, Inline:

2 EMGs, 1V, 1T, Toggle:

i had to Unsolder the wires and the Capacitor leg from one of the Pots because the distance between my guitar drilled holes are higher that the PRE-wired distance emg set as default .
let me grab teh Unholy Digital Camera and took some Infamous Pics
I want to thank you ALL for the quick support and kindness of your help.
