ok when it comes to how an amp works, im a fumbling buffoon.

could i do this (using i guess a fender bassman as an example):

guitar---gt;amp switcher output 1----gt;bright channel
_________amp swicher output 2----gt;normal channel

is this possible without any changes in out put or anything? i want to be able to switch between inputs for channels, and for an amp such as this or the fender reverbs or something channel switching i dont think is possible.

also, in the cases of these amps, can i plug in one guitar in one input and another in the other input, without volume loss?

erniebody?

nobirdy?

Yes, you cab A-B switch between channels or both at the same time!

and theres no issue of a volume loss or anything?

Yep, an A/B box will work for what you want. If you want them both on simulataneously, an A/B/Y box is necessary. There are phase differences with some Fenders, so mixing stuff like the Vibrato and Normal channels together might not sound the greatest, but there are certain boxes like one from Barber that corrects that.
