Tokai or Epiphone? The regular Epi line, not the Elite or Japan. I'm seeing some great Tokai guitars but I've never played one. I've owned three Epiphones LPs. Two stunk, one was really nice.

go try both the guitars and then pick which one feels you best but i would prolly go with the epi cause i don;t have to much expirience with tokia...so the second half of my post is pretty musc useless

toaki hands down. even the korean-made ones are pretty nice. way better than epis in general.

Skip both and get a Godin LG.

Make sure you try several different Epi's because there are so many differing models and they all seem to vary in quality.
