Ok, sometime next month I'll be getting a VHT Valvulator to put infront of my POD to give it more of a tube sound. This will be my first tube product, so my question is when the tube goes bad and I have to replace it, what kind of tube should I get? For starters, what's a good tube brand? And then there are so many different kinds of tube models that my head spins just thinking about it. Anyway I'd really appreciate some tube advice, thanks.
I have a Valvulator and it just uses a simple 12AX7...the tube should almost never truly wear out...you can replace it if you like, but it may never be necessary...I recommend JJ tubes.
Ok thanks. I also have another little question...
I might also be getting a wah pedal soon. I know I put the Valvulator before the POD, but should the Valvulator go before or after the wah pedal?
Wah should go first, just after your guitar.

After the wah. In general, wahs prefer getting an unbuffered signal from the pickups.
Thanks guys, rock on! \m/, (gt;_lt;) .\m/
actually, I put the valvulator before everything....
I go Guitar -gt; Valvulator -gt; Volume -gt; Wah -gt; overdrive -gt; distortion -gt;Delay -gt; Tuner -gt; Rotovibe -gt; Amp and I get a really great wah tone, I love the sound, but it may not be for you..experiment!
