I'm replacing single coil pickups with Humbuckers in my telecasters,
I have all my telecaster pickups (bridge position) hardwired directly to the output jack, bypassing all controls.
Is this also doable with humbuckers, and if so do I simply conect the two hot wires together solder them on and do the same with the ground wires?
wire them as if you were wiring them for series Humbucking.
With Duncans for example, Red and white soldered together and taped, green and bare to ground, black to hot.
wouldn't that really hurt?
I did that too. I did not like the Tele bridge hardwired to the output, it was a little too shrill. I looked for some resistors to put them between hot and cold. 120 k Ohm was killing too much highs but 250k and 500k were ok. The neck humbucker worked great without resistor.
