We've been producing this young RnR band and have been setting up amps up the wazoo all week. I had my Digi camera with last night and took a couple of the amp wall from the other nights session. Just thought I'd share some pics.

Bottom rack has VHT 2502. That thing in Class A mode is smokin with the Kasha Rockmod II c in the top rack that is feeding the it. There's a few items in there for routing and some not being used last night. There's a modded Marshall 1959 SLP, modded Marshall JMP, Vetta HD II, PODxt in the Atomic, and also feeding the Atomic once in a bit with the Kasha Rockmod. We just keep wiring stuff to different cabs and amps till we hit upon what we like. The cab with the stars is one of George Lynch's old touring cabs and the big gray one on the right belonged to Megadeth. Each of those has Vintage 30's (one way older than the other) and the old Marshall cab in the middle has black back 25 watters from around 1975. There were a couple of other cool amps out of the pic not being used that night. Had a few Les Pauls, Strats, Teles and also Mockingbird and a quot;Vquot; out of view too.

Holy moly! How does it sound?

Dude, have you ever read that whole thing about Slash's amp that he used on Appetite? You say you've got a modded 1959 SLP sitting right next to one of George Lynch's old cabs...

anybody else making the connection here?

VSpot... Just brutal!

baseball91... Didn't read that one... Enlighten me!

That 1959 SLP is a David Bray modded Marshall. Not sure who did the JMP. The Marshall cab with the stars (Lynch's old cab) is from a late 80's tour. Stars were added in the last few years. I think it even helps the tone! :-)

from : localhost//forum/s... marshall mine

There it is in all its glory. Looks like I got the exact model of amp wrong anyway.

Sweet rig, by the way.

Great read! I had one of those 1959T models in the studio about a month ago. It was stock and sounded good, but boring after awhile. There are a few guys that really make great mods. Sometimes it's hit or miss on an amp. Just something in the mix causes one amp to have the mojo.

I will say that the Rockmod II c I have there is the only one like it. John Kasha did some special mods for me. It is truly blistering! His stuff truly rocks!

Kasha is back in business as of last month. Keep an eye out for what's coming... from : localhost/www.kashaamplifiers.com/

I didn't have it at the session, but here's another cool recording amp I just acquired...

ADA Rocket A20R... 1 of about 100 ever to see daylight. Not overly expensive, but sure sounds it. I've been searching about 1 1/2 years for one of these. Sounds kinda like a Matchless but with an EL-34 tube. I'll say this... this is one amp I can't quite reproduce on the POD, so I had to actually find one.Looks like a fun wall o amps! I've always wanted one of those little ADA's.....such cool looking little amps. That's cool to hear John Kasha is back in biz. I wish ADA would make a big comeback.

Kasha has some really cool stuff coming soon. Keep an eye on his site for details.

Yeah, that Rocket is really a cool little piece. Very loud for it's size.
