well, i pulled the trigger on one of these pups... ;D
now i need to sell like 2 of my other cabs...anyone want a mint genz benz gflex 2X12?

enjoy it man, i love my splawn 4x12...it will be the best cab you ever played through, i know it was for me and i've used a crapload of cabs!

What is it about the Splawn cabs? The construction? What speakers are in those?

I purchased a 212 vertical Splawn in June and it is, by far, the best sounding cab I've ever heard in my life. The only thing I've heard that can compare is a Bogner. I think Jeff H will back me on this one... because he's the guy that told me about Splawn...

Mine has 2 Eminence Governors, black tolex with salt and pepper basket weave grill cloth. It's almost hypnotic it's so beautifully constructed. The square drive screws holding the back panel on is a very nice touch.

i agree...i havea purple one already that's in my studio that i love so i decided to get another one for gigging since i don't feel like moving the purpleone every single week when i have shows

I got a Red Tolex with Black grille 4x12 and it's beautiful. To be perfectly honest it's my first cab (Not a spoiled rich kid by far, I'm a kid that knows how to save for what he wants).

Actually i'm probably not any help as with the cab it was my first time hearing my mesa. But I can tell you the bass response is amazing, it never farts out. I went for the Eminence Redcoats (It's what he reccomended for my style). To be perfectly honest it can sound very dull at times when in Drop D. But I attribute that to my amp's tubes (I bought used) and the stock fender Atomic II pup in my guitar.
