Well this way you get newer knife edges and better material:
from : localhost/little springy bits go in between the sustain block and the baseplate, also, the string spacing will be Floyded (solves my problems) and it's only a 30 euros expense.
Would the JT6 sustain block bolt on this baseplate, and would the springy bit washer have enough room to work well?
Edit: ooops and I forgot the main question: saddles height. Are the Schaller baseplates 'staggered' (like the JT6) or curved, or would I need to shim the saddles?

The problemy you´ll run into (in other words:why It won´t work).

1. The sustain block won´t retrofit without modification to the block (redrilling) or baseplate (redrilling or widening the holes)
2. Non staggered baseplate on the Schaller
3. the Schaller screws won´t retrofit into a JT-6, at least I´m pretty sure they won´t.....but you could theoretically use the JT-6 lock screws in their place (although they break on a lot of people already, I´m not so keen about sideways pressure on the JT-6 bolts...)

Yet all of these could be solved in some way, but not this one...

4. The Schaller is a quot;Classicquot; floyd design, with a slotted saddle riding on a screw in one of 2-3 holes.. the JT-6 on the other hand uses a saddle with an eyelet in a slotted baseplate... JT-6 Saddle Schaller baseplate = no way to set the intonation properly.

BTW, the materials of the baseplate and knife edges of a JT-6 are practically identical... the edges may be minimally softer, but they´re essentially the same material
