I've always loved the Rev. Billy G's tone, of course, but never really paid attention to the tone on the live stuff from Fandango. The tunes were just old RnR stuff, and I prefered to hear ZZ Top play their own cool stuff. But just recently after years of listening to this album, I all of a sudden noticed the God-like tone the Rev has on the live stuff. OMFG! Any one know what he was using for that? The album has two pics, one of him with a V, and the other appears to be a LP, quite possibly Pearly? And Amps? Thanks y'all
It sounds to me that he's using a two amps together on the live stuff as well a quot;Tushquot;. To my ears it's probabaly a Marshall, paired with a Fender tweed. The Marshalls turned up to roar, and the Fenders at that quot;just breaking upquot; level.

That sounds about right. That tone along with the first album are some of the finest
