I have remixed this for tone purposes, ignore the actual song im only interested in what you think of the tone. from : localhost/www.digitalsoundplanet.com/Me..._000028909.mp3
too much drive, perhaps a slight bit less mids, and the bottom end could use a little more pop. That's really all I can find wrong with it, great playing. You got emotion in those fingers Gavantia.
Id just like to point that I'm not aiming to get it the same as SRV's cos I would have knocked the drive back. I want you to say whether you like the tone or not. Personally I love the rasp of it.
This is the other version

aight no worries bro, I'm just a real big fan of the original tone of that song is all.
I liked the tone... but to my ears the distortion could have come on the tone quot;smootherquot;, in a more quot;tubeyquot; fashion .
Cheers and thanks for the clip, great playing btw!

Anyone else???
I like the raspiness, too. It adds a little bit of feel when you punch it. Great sound and playing too!

I think it sounds really great. However, whenever I used to play that song I would play it pretty much squeaky clean. I was surprised that I could get the tone from the record just about 99%. I was using a real '63 Strat and a JCM900 combo, yep...a Marshall for clean.
