So, I currently have three Strats.
One is a 73' with the stock neck and middle pickup and a Duncan Cool Rails in the bridge. I like this guitar because the bridge has a real nice boost to it, but isn't overpowering, tonally and output-wise. The downside is the hum.
And then there's a Clapton Strat with the Gold Lace Sensors. I actually like the Lace Sensors. I spent a few years fighting them until I figured out that they're really not like other pickups. I can get great soudns out of them, but they do need to be treated differently.
So, I've been trying to find pups for a MIM Strat I currently have with 57/62's in them. My big thing is NOT having to deal with hum but retaining alot of Strat vintage tone, but having some boost on the bridge.
Anyone used the Grails? They seem to fit the bill on alot of levels; noiseless, Vintage-voiced but with some extra push on the bridge.....
