welcome to the wonderful world of photoshop my friends. this is a very popular photo style now.

what you do is place the camera in one location on a tripod. then take one picture of in this case the guitar in one position. then move the guitar (not the camera) and take another picture. keep moving the guitar around but never move the camera. then use photoshop to edit all the pictures together and since the camera never moved they will all line right up.

this is very popular with car guys. you take one picture of say a front angle of the car then leave the camera and move the car over in the frame and show the side or back of the same car. this way you get two angles of the same car in one pic (or even more than 2).

here ya go... from : localhost/www.digitalmediathoughts.com/...on=expand,7520

here ya go... from : localhost/a good look at that photo, and at the discussion in the thread.... too many things too perfect to be a PS job IMO.... And why go through the effort just to have some fun on a messageboard.. doesn´t add up Originally Posted by xerxesi think your right, the wood great is all the same..lol....also look at his hands in the second pic...lol

Look again... I can make out at LEAST 4 different grain pattern, most notably the one with the splotch....

I´m not saying it is, I´m not saying it isn´t .... But again, what for?

nah, i'm just a graphic designer who has taken more photo classes than he can remeber and knows photoshop like the back of his hand lol.

sorry to ruin the fun Jeff, but i thought you guys actually thought it was real lol.

-Mike

zerb, i'd bet my entire guitar collection on the fact it's a photoshop. trust me...and here...

look at these....

what did they clone themselves??LOL

-Mike

also, as for time. it takes NO time to do.

you place the camera on the tripod and take multiple pics then just layer them in photoshop. very simple.

if i get a chance i'll do it later.here are even more from : localhost/forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1672188

But I´d like to pick your brain here if you don´t mind... where are the mistakes that would point to a PS job??? I see no seams, the reflections and shadows are all in place as far as I can tell, as well as surface deformation of the bed ... the carpet was probably hell to work with as well... if it´s ps it´s a damn good one IMO...

I know the technique and have done it before myself.... but I just can´t see any of the typical artifacts.....

u really bet ur guitars? for real? like for real real?

DUDE!!!! I need to have pictures taken where Odie looks like he has been cloned! YES!!!!!
