By now, most of you have heard that PRS won the appeal against Gibson, and can now resume manufacturing the American and Korean Singlecuts.
How many of you think that PRS is gonna go hog-wild with Singlecuts in 2006?
I can already imagine that they're going to blast the market with them, when they hit winter NAMM. I'm pretty sure the Singlecut will be awarded 'Guitar of the Year.'
Plus, they have the advantage of being able to come out with all kinds of models and features that Gibson won't be doing. I'll bet they'll be gloating like mofo's, when they show up to NAMM with Singlecut Dragons, Singlecuts w/McCarty wiring, Singlecuts w/P-90's, Singlecut Shirts, hats, mugs, keychains!!!
Heck, they should even come out with a Singlecut Floyd Rose model.
Singlecut soapbar! please!
I say go for it! All the lawsuit drama will now go in favour of PRS and work as advertising for them... they are amazing guitars, Fisnih quality/playabitly.
Im sure they will be on alot of peoples quot;wishquot; list for years to come!
Well, here's a quote from Mr. Paul R. Smith. quot;Paul Reed Smith Guitars announced today that it will immediately resume production of its Singlecut® guitars.quot;
Man, they're wasting no time! LOL
Put me down for a transblack flame Singlecut Trem w/Birds.
Dunno if they'll be huge. One of the funny things is that folks became a lot more interested in 'em after Gibby got the injunction.
That said, I've contacted my favorite PRS dealer about what I'm looking for in a SC. The sad thing is that I might have to sell something to make room.
I wonder if there will be a new Dave Navarro model...he originally wanted a single cut.

This is very possible.
The single cuts are amazing guitars. However, if they were to win 'Guitar of the Year,' it doesn't seem as if it would be because they really are the best guitars out there right now, but more because they're the center of attention at the moment.
It really says something that out of all of the Les Paul knock off models out there, Gibson chooses to challenge PRS. It sure wasn't just Gibson worrying about PRS taking their model shape, but building their model better.
Hummm transblack soapbar singlecut...
How about anybody answering my question about singlecuts? Wouldn't that be nice as well
Well, now maybe Gibson will stand back and take a good hard look at where the problems are and fix them. Hey, what a concept...fix problems. Damn, wish I would have thought of that idea.
teal black singlecut triple soapbar trem!

When I saw Jane's addiction at Lollapalooza about 2-3 years ago he was using all white singlecuts.

I think all the good ideas should be Emailed to PRS. Gibson has to stick to tradition because they have a legacy to uphold, and for some reason, people don't care for updated LP's. PRS can now use the simple body shape, but it's an 'open canvas' for them. Paul's no dummy, so I'm sure he'll take advantage of it.
I'd like to see Singlecuts with....
Triple Soapbar, 5 way strat switch
Dual Soapbar, 3 way
HH, Gibson wiring
HH, McCarty wiring
HH Trem
HSH Trem

there'll probably be a high $ tremonti model too
I'm surprised they didn't just have the korean manufacturer start making them a bit ago so they could start selling those right away
