Yah
question is simple
please... post the MOST TIGHT BASS PICKUP of all brand.
i mean, HUMBUCKER.
Ok, you can post your top 5
Q
Haisl
J.P
Emg 81 or the dimarzio EVOLUTION
Out of all the pickups I've played, the SH-13 and the SH-18 have the tightest bass, IMO.

I could say the Distortion is tight but that's really because it doesn't have a lot of bass not so much that it's really tight in the bottom end.
Few more I'll add to the list that are fairly tight are:
Super3....if you want a big warm sound like the Super Distortion without the loose and sometimes boomy bottom end go with the Super3.
Custom....seemed fairly tight in my Les Paul when I had it in there....very punchy too.D-Sonic....this one is probably the tightest of the 3. It really felt like an Evo...very tight but it actually had a stronger bottom end and was darker overall. I'm not sure how they got a darker pickup to sound so tight but they did it....this one's a sleeper IMO and I don't think many people even know about it.
I also would like to add in the JB model
to me it has a very tight bass considering how much it quot;singsquot; overall
Custom, EMG 81, EMG SA, and JB top my list.
Huuuuuuuuuum
ok, THnak´s GUYS
From what i've played the top 3 are the EMG 81,the Full Shred and the JB
i have a JB here with me, that i am trying to SELL or trade
it has a good Bass , but lacks Bass Grind
to me, it looks like it has a FALSE BASS.
it is strange
For Duncans, the Custom 5. For palm muting chunk, there's no looseness. It does sound better on midheavy amps like Marshalls, Bogners, ENGL's, Bassmans. Metal guys often overlook it, in favor of Customs and JBs, but are making a mistake because the C-5 doesn't fall apart under extreme gain like some pickups marketed for metal.
I see alot of folks have probally not played the Full Shred. Personally, I think it has the tightest bass of Duncans. It is closely followed by the Custom 5 though.
in no particular order.
duncan custom
duncan custom 5
emg 81
emg 60
dimarzio steve's special

Most definately. I like JB's, too, but the C5 has more prominent/tighter bass, and sounds orgasmic in mohogany.
I've been finding lately that I dislike ceramic magnets because of the gritty harsh character they have.
If you like tight highgain, Alnico 5 is a good starting place.
Ohhhhhh, ****ing thank[s Guys
