All I know about Incubus (which is not a lot ) is that the guitarist
use's a DOD Gongcuelator. Don't know what it does or sounds like? but the
Incubus stuff I've heard was pretty good.
PRS's (both solid and Hollow), and on the newest stuff a Jazzmaster, Mesa heads and cabs as well as combos. Steller was a later 70's Strat and fender amp...the set-up from Guitar Geek is oretty much spot on from the make your self album/tour
He swore by the discontinued Mesa Tremoverb on Morning View and earlier. On the last record, he recorded primarily with a vintage Fender Jazzmaster and an old Vox AC-30.
Besides the Fender, he used the PRS Hollowbodys and PRS Customs.
he used prs's on morning view and earlier. on their first Record (i think they are talking about fungus amongus) he uses an Ibanez that he borrowed from a friend. he still plays mesa's live but guitar wise it's all vintage fenders (strats and jazzmasters).

The tones on the latest incubus album A Crow Left of the Murder is in my opinion, some of the best guitar tones I've heard in a while. I seriously love everything about that freaking album. That album makes me want a Jazzmaster so incredibly bad.
I didn't know he used an AC-30 on that album though... awesome
Mike's tones on the Timelapse Consortium Bootlegs (made me want a Jazzmaster. I could afford a real Jazzmaster so I bought a Reverend Slingshot Custom, and it got me that and more. Check it out!
Am I the only one who didn't like the tones off Crow? Mmm, might go run for cover now
IMHO, I thought his overdriven tone on Morning View was pretty good, but his cleans were amazing from his PRS Hollowbody (check out Echo if you have the album).
I think he always had good cleans but his distortion was the best for Science. again, it's only my opinion.
IMO Einziger's tone is best off Morning View, but I love his tone on all of their albums. Morning View has the best clean sound, best lightly overdriven sound, and best distorted sound (quot;Echo, quot; quot;11 AM,quot; quot;Circles, quot; quot;Just a Phase, quot; etc.) The PRS--gt;Mesa thing really worked for him. Looking on the MV Sessions, it looks like he used a small Mesa combo for much of his tone (that and the head-cab setup were used in their quot;studio, quot; and the combo was used at the MV Sessions concert). Science had a great distorted sound, but some of it was kinda lacking. Crow has some nice really warm sounds though and really makes we want a Jazzmaster too haha. As for acoustics, I know he uses an Ibanez, after seeing many live performances of him with one.
