Fave new gear: my soldano is killer, and the junior is supercool, but the best thing I bought all year was my digital 8 track. It's been so useful for writing and arrnging with my bands.

Gear disappointment: Fender HM strat. Must be my third nostalgia no-tone shredder purchase in as many years. When will I learn?

On the Horizon: Fulltone Fulldrive II 10th Ann. Mosfet, Duncan 10K PAF, and Roland Drums Expansion Module for Fantom XA. On the high-end wish list....it's the 65 Amps London head/2-12, and Eric Johnson Strat.

Faves: Roland Fantom keyboard, Silverburst strat, Chubtone Custom pickups (favorite single coils).
Disappointments: Gamp;L love is waning. I don't need tweeds anymore....Matchless wins!!!

Gear In: Heritage 150, great axe, not regretting that GAS attack, at all. Boss SD-1, modded by SD-er. Zaolla Silverline instrument cable, very nice-sounding, but very $$$, as well. 2 Marshall cabs, ON THE CHEAP, couldn't pass them up; 4 new speakers.... Gear Out: Mesa Dual Recto... a little regret, but way too much amp for me... my tastes are a little more old school than that. Overall, good year. Looking forward to having more GAS, in 06'.

Gear disappointment: None of mine really, though I have had a love/hate relationship with my FMT Tele. Currently it's on the love side because of the Hybrid pups. Every single faded finish LP Standard that I played was an absolute POS, $2500 guitar and they can't do a proper binding job.

Crate V32 Palomino - definitely the shocker of the year by far. Great tone for a pathetically low price, this one really took me by surprise.

Anything Ben Fargen from Fargen amps ever releases (I'm a Fargen man for life). Right now the only piece of gear on my mind is the heavily modded Fargen Epic 30 DC that will be arriving tomorrow. It's going to have a number of improvements over the previous versions including a much bigger transformer and Ben's quot;VOSquot; circuit on the overdrive side. I'm in the process of saving up some cash for a speaker change (and an extension cabinet for it). I have a very strong feeling this will be the only amp I'll ever need or want for that matter.
