Has anybody used this amp, and would you recomend it, i need info guys, i´m thinking of buyin´ one.
Thanx

this is gonna be long:

every time i go to my local music shop (like all the time) i play it and the fender amps they have. it is a very very good clean amp. its a solid state, but even so it really sounds as good as other tube amps in its price range. it doesnt break up that much, and the high channel gets LOUD. the distortion really isnt much of a distortion, more like a slight overdrive. the only time it had distortion was when i plugged in a esp with emg's and turned the gain all the way up, and even then it was not that distortion-y. most of the time i used a strat or a '72 tele (the ash one with the hb's. i can get really pleasing jazzy clean tones on the mild settings, but i can also get a nice bright stratty solo type sound with it, too. the reverb was pretty good, and i think it had chorus and vibrato and maybe delay? but i dont use any of those so i dunno. overall its a good amp, pretty much worth the money if its what your going for.

The JC120 is a great amp for what it does. It does really clean, really loud with a pretty good chorus sound excellent. It just doesn't do much out of that- in my opinion. They're also ridiculously heavy.

I've used a JC120 head for awhile and I love it. It's great for that super hifi clean with shimmery chorus tones. It's not gonna be as round/warm as say a Twin, but it's still pretty nice

how old is the one you are considering? ... how much do they want for it? ... older ones are better than new ones ...

i dont think they do distortion well at all ... even when pushed with a pedal, it isnt a very warm and nicely complex tone, more harsh and sterile ... and i am NOT a tube snob, in fact, i do not own any tube gear ...

they are outstanding for cleans, especially for jazz ... lots of clean headroom ... and the onboard analog chorus from the old ones essentially defined an era by being state-of-the-art ... set a high bar for the emerging digital stuff back in the day

good luck

I use to own the JC 77, which is a smaller version of this Amp. The OD flat out sucked, but the clean was very nice. The Chorus is beautiful. I used a Proco Rat and a Boss Super OD with it to give me some decent OD. I bought a 1968 Super Reverb with the idea of A/B ing with this, but the Super just blew this Jc77 away so I sold it and bought a Marshall. That A/B'd with the Fender is what I have been using for over 10 years now!

If you play jazz, buy it. If you dont, dont buy it.
