I'm looking for a pickup that sounds like a wah pedal stuck in the middle. I want mids that snarl, with a kind of rusty sound. Oh, and I have a maple guitar. I've already tried the JB, Distortion, Full Shred, Custom Custom and Bill Lawrence xl-500. I'm not looking for so much gain, more a dirty, lively sound.
Try a DiMarzio PAF Pro. It have a very quot;Vowelquot; tone. Like a wah stopped in the middle...
