As you can see in my signature, I'm selling my strat. I have it up on craigslist, and a guy emailed me asking me some questions. He said he couldn't buy the guitar, but had a guitar he could trade for it, if I was interesed. The guitar? A 1961 Gibson L48 Acoustic! This would work out well, because I REALLY need a new acoustic, but the only reason I'm selling my guitar at all is because I have another guitar on hold, and I needed the sale of the strat to fund the new one. So, what do I do? Do I take the Gibson and save up to get a Gamp;C or do I turn down the offer and hope someone else buys the strat?Thanks in advance, guys!

I'd play the acoustic first before trading. I also have a 2004 Fender American Standard Strat and its a fantastic guitar, but I might put some Bareknuckle 'sultans' in...

Playing it before I get it goes without saying. The strat IS fantastic. I've been considering keeping it and just modding it out (new pickups, tuners etc.) because I love the feel of it, so that becomes another option. If I were to trade for the other guitar, it wouldn't be to keep it, I don't think. It doesn't seem like what I'm looking for, the more I read up on it. It's worth more than my strat, so I could sell it and buy the guitar I want.

The possibilities...any other opinions?

A Greene amp; Campbell Precix. Amazing guitars made in Rhode Island. Only 5 guys working in the factory, the only put out about 3-400 a year. A really new company. I met the Campbell in Greene and Campbell while I was playing the guitar. Talked to him for a while about the guitar. They're amazingly cheap (I'd be getting mine for roughly $800) for being so nice and from such a small company. You can check them out at the website:
