Is there a certain brand 3 barrel bridge that you guys have found to be the best? I don't recall the ones I have had in the past. What about the Wilkinson?

For the money that a pretty nice bridge. For my tele i got a bridge from a guy on ebay that saves off part of the lower lip and custom grinds the barrels for the radius of your neck. I got it for $45.

I looked at the Wilkinson, but ended up with the same bridge bb's talking about (I think), from a guy who goes by quot;giantguitarsquot; on eBay.
Here's his current auction.

I received my bridge, but haven't put it on the guitar yet.

Things I like:
1) It says quot;Fenderquot; on it - he uses real Fender bridge plates.
2) It fits tightly - he grinds the saddle ends so they fit together for your particular fretboard radius.
3) It has the quot;Gatton-stylequot; notch cut out of the lower lip, for better access.

What I don't like is that the saddles have a little bit of a quot;DIYquot; look about them; not sloppy, but they don't have the polished look you expect from a factory. But hey, that's what Tele's are all about, aren't they? If you dig quot;functionquot; over quot;formquot;, the Giant Guitars bridge is where it's at.

Rich you know i've been looking at lots of tetel bridges.... that one is really cool!

I'm another dude who has bought one of those as well.

My favorite would be a Wilkinson, but not the one pictured in the link in the first post. Mine would have to be this one. It's a vintage 3-saddle style bridge, but can be fully intonated, the saddles can easily be tilted and locked with an adjustment screw. And it's suited for through-body stringing.

the wilkinson I know about is cool but has too many moving parts...get a p[lain old Tele bridge and a set of compensated saddles from stew-Mac and call it a day...it is the best way to go and also happens to be the cheepest!

how about graptech's ios tele saddles? really good if you are not a sticker for tradition. it comes in both tusq and stringsaver material and built-in compensation.

you can the bridge plate for $7.99 from musicians' friend.

I have to admit...I have not seen that Wilkinson yet but I still think a trad tele bridge and SM comp saddles would be better
