This is driving me crazy. I've got an Ibanez RG 1570 with the Edge Pro II temolo. It stays in tune great. However, it is not tuned to E. I would like to tune it to E, so I can play along with CDs and what not. Everytime I try to tune it as soon as I get a couple of strings in tune and move on to the next one, the last strings are up a half or quarter step. Is there an order to tuning or a sequence. Should I remove all the locking nuts or just one set at a time. Please help!

It is perfectly natural. Just repeat it some times. You should remove the locking nut before doing this. Keep in mind that if you heighten your tuning, you'll have to tighten the spring screws until it's flat again. It's a matter of repeating until done. You'll get a hang of it quite soon, don't worry.

Thanks. That was more helpful than the Ibanez owners manual. I haven't owned floating tremolo system before.

Basically you're tension is off,as you raise the tension on the strings you'll have to adjust the trem tension so that it quot;zero'squot; in the new setting.
