The cleans are amazing, very full and snappy with more bottom and I was getting a nasty Black Sabbath Vol 4 tone through the Marshall 80's setting on the Valvetronix 30. All hail P-90's and lower gauge strings!

I think GC raised the prices on these gtrs. No doubt they've gotten hip to what a steal they are.

I have 10's on mine also and its probally my most favorite guitar I have ever owned!!! I have owned some nice made in USA guitars also and this is still probally my favorite!

When I had 11's installed and setup on mine it made a world of difference. Not only did I get more warmth and the feel I love from it. It added about ..... oh.... 300% to the sustain. Granted I went from the factory strings which were probably dead as old beans. But the sustain......
Can you hear that..... Well you would if it were playing... Yeah that kinda sustain.

I usually string my 24 3/4s with 11s and my 25.5s with 10s. So, when I got my PRS Soapbar SE2, I didn't know what to put on, so I went with 10s. Sounds good, but I might have to try out 11s sometime.

Dave (Theodie) turned me on to the Soapbar. Not only is it my cheapest guitar, it's one of my favorites!

I bought, about 2 moths ago, a PRS Tremonti SE and am very pleased with it. I put in a Super Distortion in the bridge and a Norton in the neck, and I play 10's on it. I wouldn't trade it in for a Soapy, but it sure makes me think about getting rid of another (Ibanez sz320) and picking up the Soapbar. I used to have one of those ESP LTD Eclipse 300 with P-90's. They don't make it any more and it was killer. I miss the P-90 quot;gruntquot;.

I used to like those lighter gauge strings...but every guitar I've gone up a gauge has always improved in tone/sustain, etc.

My mid 80s Les Paul Standard outta the custom shop I bought used had 8s on it...played like butter of course...and still sounded great too...but oh my..when I put 10s on it...HOWY CWAP....night and day

I'm thinking of going up to 11s now.

Thats what I like to hear Vol 4. has my favorite lead tone EVER on it. The intro to Wheels of Confusion, ******.... That bloody P90 gas is back again.

On a side note, I personally can't even use 10's they feel to loose for me. 11's for standard here.
